A ruleset is a house style every command should follow, such as “flags are kebab-case”, “every command supports --json” or “destructive commands require --yes”.
- CLUX checks the command against each rule and reports whether it was violated, passed, or can't be verified from your evidence.
- Rules are optional, and none are checked by default. Being more UNIX-like doesn't by itself make a command easier to use, so the UNIX philosophy is a ruleset you can choose, not part of the score.
- Your own rules: paste or attach the whole style guide. CLUX reads the document and pulls out the rules it states — including ones written as ordinary prose, not only lines written as bullets. IDs like
ORG-7: are kept. - Rules that compare commands or require the whole CLI are kept out of this single-command report.
